Here is the setup I'd use when the time comes. iPad with case cover that tucks up in the sunroof (front or back). Works great because of bluetooth. Plus pull out and bring with or lock in center console.

That's kinda like what I do except I have an EEEpad and use a Spiderpodium and tuck the arms inside the moonroof window bay. Hangs there real nicely. The sync bluetooth audio rocks!

Passenger can also stick cover through visor the same way.
Best thing is it's free (if you already have an iPad) since most with iPads have a cover. Mine is the $15 sleeve case/cover
