Default driving me crazy!!

I was playing with my display the other day... looking at settings, reading... but didn't change any settings.

Now when I start my truck, the screen comes up to the "Default Trailer" screen. I have no trailer connected and haven't in months.

I've changed the screen to the "Instant MPG" then shut off the truck - thinking it would remember that setting... but it didn't.

It used to come up to the Instant MPG (where I like it).

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Pissin me off!!

No sir.

Ya know... was just thinking.. when I was looking around in the settings, and when I was in the "Default Trailer" screen, I DID press the integrated brake controller adjustment a few times to + and - settings. Then I slid the brake slider **** to the left a few times.

I was parked with the engine running... but I still can't figure out why its stuck on the "Default Trailer" screen at start up.

I'm away from my truck at the moment so I can't go look at it, but I think there is a box you can check in the setting screen that keep the screen on the last one viewed. "Display memory" maybe?

A gremlin may have unckecked that setting.

Good luck.

Pretty sure there is a new TSB out for that problem, something about replacing the trailer control board.

All you have to do is change the active trailer to disconnected. Simple. Sheesh it is easy to see how all these fake problems show up on this site. READ you manual. Please and thank you.

Maybe he can't read or maybe he wanted some of his f150 buddies to help him out. Just a thought.

I had that. In the offroad screen area (2nd screen in) you can set it to think that a trailer is attached when it's not. Go into there when parked and find it to fix it.
