That's pretty much the only reason I like 4A. I don't have to constantly change. I might throw It in 4x4 to get out of my driveway, back into 4x2 cause the streets are fine and then hit ice and loose all hope of traction. But I do like feeling the 4x4 power

actually it is the brake ABS system and the transfer case. Mostly all traction, stability control is sensors at each wheel waiting for one to spin, apply brake to that wheel only, there are other operations and calculations going on with stability as per tilt, pitch, roll (under truck app on message center) however it still comes down to applying brake to a wheel that is needed or to quit the spin factor. The transfer case shifts in and out once it senses a slip so that is dis engaging and engaging too!
