I have a brand new 2014 4x4 Crew with 6.5' bed and mine is doing exactly what you are describing at stops and starts. It feels just like a drive axle problem I had on a Cadillac years ago. It is driving me crazy. I can't believe Ford would call this "normal"!

I had a 01 Silverado and my wife has a 09 Tahoe. They both clunk when put in drive and into reverse.
My 14 F150 isn't like that at all. Thank go*!
If you want a car like ride. Buy a Chevy. But the drive train isn't anything special ...or their V8's.

Was it a one or two peice drive shaft?

My 2012 eco screw with 6.5 box is doing the same. taking it in next week with TSBs in hand. I have 8 k left on warrenty I am worried that they will regrease and solve the issue for that 8 k. then I am stuck repairing on my own.

What TSBs apply to your truck? I haven't found any on my 2012 screw.

Earlier on the first couple pages of this thread there is TSB's. They are for earlier models but they still apply right through 2014. I printed them off and I am going to have them in hand. Hope that helps.

Just got mine back from the dealership today. Been complaining about the clunk at the last two services but was told the first time they couldn't hear it and the second that it was normal. I'm not a guru but any fool knows that's not normal. Finally today they told me the tech confirmed the clunk and that the driveshaft had internal damage and ordered me a new one. At 59k miles I wasn't going to be on the hook after 60k. We will see what happens after the new one is installed next week.
