The factory nav faceplate won't work because the heat/air controls are different. The cutouts for the climate controls are different between nav and no nav.

Damn....that sucks! Ok, so then the two options are either cutting the OEM one that came with the truck, or buying a double din kit and get it painted gloss black to at least match somewhat?

I suspect/wonder if a 3rd party dash that matches the FX4 style will eventually come out. I like the look of the FX4 dash, and it is a bummer that the OEM Navi dash is different than the non Navi dash.

cut out a factory one it worked good and looked great. wood grain
it was only 1/8 bigger on the bottom for a factory f350 nav unit . so if you used a aftermarket and a mounting kit it will look great but may need to adjust the height

Has anyone tried to buy the carbon fiber kit and apply it to either a Metra or Sosche double din yet? I have been looking into it ever since Metra rejected my idea of making a carbon fiber double din. If you have, any pointers?
