Dose your truck have the "sound Screen " winsheild ?

Talked to my dealer, and they have no idea if they can get them from Ford to use when they're doing replacement windshields.
They can get the Carlite standard windshields that say "F150" at the top for sure.
My parts guy said he's going to do a little research and get back to me. I took him out to the lot to show him a '13 (Lariat) that had it, and he took some pictures for reference.
I'll keep you guys posted

I have 2011 Platinum "With" & rain sensing wipers. It is much quiter than any truck I have had before. Saw the sticker and gave it no thought. Definitly would want a replacement to have it even if it costs more.
I called my buddy @ large windshiled distributor and it is different and does cost more @ about $375 here in Sacramento CA. He says it is also shaped slightly differently. My 2011 truck in his system lists many window variations starting @$199. RS wipers, f150 banding and shading color are all variations...
He said he has had a hard time getting ins companies to authorize the more expensive windows and must justify the cost and reason. He does alot of bodyshop & dealer work and mentioned he just had to R&R a windshield for a bodyshop installed by another glass vendor. The cleint noticed right away and made the bodyshop replace it with correct OEM part. He did not know if ins co cheaped out, body shop tried to pass on lessor part or honest mistake?

My 2013 FX4 has SoundScreen. For those without it dont sweat it since I notice a slight difference but then again F150 is fairly quiet for a truck. Also it is unlikely SoundScreen is on anything else except the windshield.

I had my windshield replaced last week. When I called my insurance company they asked me if it said sound screen on it. I said it does. They replaced it with "factory" glass the next day. Looks and sounds just like my original down to the ford logo on top and sound screen on the drivers bottom corner.
