Default Door Detent 3.0

Just ordered a Door Detent 3.0, solves my problem with the front doors on my truck. Garage, parking places, the door can get away and hit the wall or the car next to you. This kit solves the problem with putting a detent between the two Ford put on our doors. Soon I will have more control when getting out, no more hoping I do not hit the wall or another car. Will let you know how it works for those that do not know. Maybe some that already have Door Detent 3.0 can chime in....

Definitely on my short list for mods. One of the first inconveniences I noticed after getting the the truck.

'Twas an early must-do mod on my (then new) truck last year.
Agree - no need for much new discussion here. Just buy 'em...

Mine have been great! The customer service at Northernlight Labs was above and beyond as well.

Installed the drivers side yesterday, hard but not impossible, the passenger side proved to be impossible to me. I could not get the old out to save my life. Could touch it but not grab it to remove it. I removed the glove box to make the removal easier but to no avail. I am defeated at this point, maybe I can find someone with smaller hands to do that side......

NO DEFEAT! Just tie a string around the old one. When you push it thru, tie the string to the new one and pull it thru.
Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to replace it.

I didn't use Northlight Labs detents but instead used KustomFX's that he is selling on the forum. Laddgr, his came with a string that I tied to the end of the detent so you don't drop it and can control it's position. Once you have the detent in the hole, you can pull the string and just use your fingertips for fine adjustment if needed. Really, once I had the detent past the plastic cover, all I used was the string.
