Don't NOT 3M your truck

I use this on my Shelby. It goes on pretty easy comes off just as fast and protects the front end while I drive from home to show or a cruise in. I made a mistake and got the 18 inch wide stuff which would be good for a truck but not so much for a Shelby. When I buy another roll it will be the 6 inch. Take a look at the videos you can leave it on for a long time just have someone help stretch it and take your time cutting it.

Got to keep space between you and the person in front, especially in Canada when they put loose rock salt and sand on the road that can have pebbles in it. This stuff is murder when they put it down on dry roads in anticipation of a storm. Save your money by understanding physics! :-)

Haha. I don't know how many times I've had rock chips in the windshield of my work cars just from semis and gravel trucks going by me on the highway...rocks can fly and bounce pretty good distances. Doesn't mean people are following too close. At 110kmh or 65mph a rock can bounce for a few hundred feet easy. So your theory of following to close might be correct for some, isn't correct for everyone.

Yeah, because oncoming traffic will never kick any debris at your vehicle....
I had a large gravel truck coming at me on a manufacturing road area and a rock came off the top of his truck and hit right in the upper left center of my 2005 mustang windshield and made a large crack! By the time I got turned around and caught up with him he had pulled into a plant with several other trucks just like his same blue color so I didn't know which one. Also had a train crossing overhead and a large rock came down and busted a windshield on a mazda rx7 I had back in the early 90's. I filed a claim with the RR and they paid for it to be replaced.

I looked into it and was quoted over $600 if I remember correctly. I know people in the collision business that would respray the front end of my truck for $600 after 5 years. Also, I heard it really looks like crap on white vehicles as it ages. Turns yellow and dirt builds up on the edges.
Are those white dots rock chips? WTF! I have chips on the front of mine but they chip black. I wish mine would chip white and I'd be set. I'll trade you rock chips!

At least mine did on my white truck.
I lived in the area the OP does when I had it put on new truck and can attest to how much crap there is on the roads.
It does protect from road crap very well but the yellowish color annoyed me so one sunny 30C day I pulled it off....
There was probably some type of warranty for the yellowing but with the dealer 3hrs away I just said screw it.
I ended up plasti dipping my front bumper and grill for a while(clear coat) and it does well too but has a dullness to finish.
I might check locally to see how much it will cost again, but not the one that comes up part way onto hood cause that's the most noticeable area of yellowing.

I live in southeast Iowa and they throw sand with salt on all the time. Maybe we don't have the heavy cut in and out traffic but I have driven in it in the large cities and if you only leave two to three lengths between you and the guy in front of you, you are tail gaiting plain and simple. Driving instructors always tell you to leave one length for every 10 mph. So 50 means 5 not 3 and 60 means 6 not 3. Let them weave in and out---keep your distance from the guy in front of you. So big deal you get to where you are going 2 or 3 minutes later at least you are driving defensively and most likely not getting sand blasted.
