Default Leaky bak flip cover

It's not the cover. I have the same issue and climbed in the bed with my son closing the tailgate. The cover was sealed wth no light coming through. The problem is with the tailgate had light coming through the tailgate up at upper side on both sides of the tailgate. I have no answer as to how to fix.

Mine was leaking through the hinges of the cover, the sides and also at the tailgate step. I agree the design isn't good when you have the gaps of tailgate step to deal with.

Bak did offer to send me a replacement but I didn't want to risk having another one leak (and I couldn't think of a way to stop water coming in at the step) so I went with an Undercover classic and it's been dry ever since. I know the trifold designs are more user friendly but I wanted my bed dry.

Keep in mind that unless you have installed a seal on the tail-gate. Rain water from the road still can get onto the bed floor. Notice the gap between the tail-gate and the back edge of the bed.

Sorry to hear that your Bakflip leaks a lot. I have a 2012 f150 xlt short bed. I installed the Bakflip trifold since 2012 and it has never leaked other than 2 small round dampness where the tailgate and the side rail meets. I lived in Guam and it rains a lot. Perhaps my spray on bed liner helps prevent water from entering through the side rails.

I just ordered the fiber Max and was wondering where I was going to put the drain tubes since I have the plastic bedliner. I can't find pictures anywhere that show it installed with bedliner ,now after reading this I'm wondering if I have made a bad choice .
It will be here Friday

I have the same bakflip, and I've noticed minimal water on the bed. I have a call into Ford, and waiting to see if I should bring it in, or it's "normal" to have some water leakage.

Ford's folding covers are made for them by Bak.
