My dad's two car garage is bigger than my three car garage. He built his house and has a 30X30 two car garage. Said he wanted to pull a car in and be able to open the doors without worrying about door dings.

He then built a 80X80 shop building with a side carport for the fifth wheel. Now that's what I would like.

I can't stand how the new homes have so small garages. When I build again, I can assure you there will be enough room in the garage to walk around all the cars with at least three feet of room on every side, and the sides of the garage will be deep enough for a four foot bench/cabinet.

This house is the first I've ever had where a vehicle that didn't need workin' on was in the garage.

My 2011 Platinum 5.5 bed fits great! I have about four extra feet of clearance up front. It is a large 3 car garage. The house was a package deal! Everything my wife and I were looking for!

SuperCrew 6.5' bed. Pickup is 20.5' long, tip to tail, not including a drawbar/ball mount. Previous SuperDuty CrewCab longbed was 22' long. Garage is 24' deep, so no problem there.

10' wide garage door clearance is only 9.5' wide. With the tow mirrors collapsed I have a coupla inches clearance on each side, but it's still close enough that I have to be very careful when backing out of the garage.

When I built my retirement home with 3-car garage, I expected I would probably own a CrewCab some day. So I designed the garage 24' deep and 30' wide, with a 16' and a 10' garage doors. With 20/20 hindsight, my next one will be 30' deep and 36' wide with a 16' wide door for Darling Wife's Corolla and 12' wide door for my pickup. Yes, Darling Wife is a very senior citizen, so she needs lots of clearance on both sides.

A note. I parked my truck in the garage where it needed to be, then put the truck in reverse so I could see had the wife mark a line on the floor. Now before I go into the garage I put the truck in reverse to activate the rear view camera then I can see where I need to stop every time.

Works great.

'11 Screw 5.5" bed and I leave the hitch in, it fits, but have to be super careful. I have to hug the inner door frame with the mirrors folded in otherwise nobody can open the pass side door due to a chest freezer on that side. There's enough room left to walk around the truck front and back, but it has to be parked in a certain spot. Hubby put a tennis ball on a string so we know where to stop.

Now the other bay in this 2 car garage is a whole 'nother ballgame, his '09 Honda Civic coupe barely fits due to the boiler being directly in front of it.
