Basically does my current 2012 FX4 have the hill decent control feature?

Kinda stupid that the new explorers with the awd system have hill decent control. But our trucks don't.

You won't have the hill decent control but you'll have hill start assist. So if you are driving up a hill and let off the gas, your brakes will automatically engage so you don't roll backwards.

My '13 has the hill descent button next to the traction control button. Both are right above the touchscreen.

Maybe that's what mine has. Never paid much attention to the direction the graphic indicates.

There's no hills in Houston, so wouldn't ever have a use for either feature. Lol.

to be honest i was looking at new 3rd brake light assemblies on ebay, and i noticed it says it doesnt work with models with hill decent control. So it got me wondering if mine has it.
