I got this offer yesterday. Do you think there are enough changes in these past 3 years to justify spending a $150 dollars on a map update only?
Even though mine is a 14, I'd say my card is a 13. We're just barely into 2016, so it's probably safe to assume there is exactly 3 years worth of changes.
I'll be keeping this truck for at least 2/3 more year's. I don't know if future map updates for Sync 3 would be compatible with our version, so is this possibly the last update?
What are you going to do?

Hell no !! Lexus wanted $300 for an up-dated version for their map for my wife's GX470...found one on the internet for $19.95. worked perfect.

No, it's most likely not worth it. I am not impressed with Fords navigation. I went from a A4 to A6 and found absolutely no change. Same roads that didn't exist, still don't. And I'm talking about roads that are 6+ years old.

If you gotta have it, shop around for it on ebay, etc.. Much cheaper.

I like to stay current on the maps for navigation but ford charges way to much for the updates. My truck came with A4, I have updated the maps twice now in two years, I bought A5 and A6 on ebay for $50 each with free shipping. If and when I find A7 for that price I will buy it.

You know what...I'm an idiot. I forgot I bought an A6 card on eBay for $50 already.
I completely forgot about doing that and also what a rip off, buying them from the dealer is.
Never mind I guess...Should wait till the second cup of coffee before I post anything.

Sorry to piggyback off of this. But I just bought a 2010 KR Screw and was wondering how I could update mine? Will the A5 or A6 work in my system??

No the 2009-2012 trucks require a DVD or for it to be updated manually at the dealer itself. It is not as easy as just putting in a SD card like it is for the 2013+.

FWIW, I originally had the A4 and bought the A6 late last year. Plenty of changes and updates for my area on the new A6 that weren't on the A4. Then I see they already have the A7.

Damn. Figured it wouldn't be as easy haha. Is this available for me to get outside of going through a dealership? Or am I stuck there.

I'm fairly certain you can do it yourself with the disc, but I don't know how much it costs or the procedure you have to follow. I've only done the update on the 2013's.
