Default Do tire dealers accept new trade-ins?

I'm currently looking at trading my 2011 Screw e/b for a 2014 with appearance package. My dealer will not help me out switching the stock pirellis for something else. I'm near Ottawa, ON. Does anyone know of any tire dealer that would credit those pirellis toward something else ( ie P rated Duratracs)? Best I've found so far is 50% credit of retail value (ouch).

I and 2 other friends sold our stock 20"s very easy.

If a 20" Ford, Chevy and Dodge all use the same size tire on there 2WD and 4X4 so I'm sure you have a friend with a truck like that who needs tires.

Got 600 for mine with 1800miles, one friend got 500 and another got 550.

I'd find another dealer.

Dealers would laugh at you if you asked them to do that here. They want to $ell tires, not swap them.

Actually dealer do it all the time. They will buy your new take off tires with basically no miles for hundreds below what the tires cost them. And resell them to somebody that comes in needing tires for full price. Happens all the time.

Belle Tire offered me $40 each for mine. Discount Tire offered $0. This is when my truck had 300 miles on it. The stock tires grew on me after I found that out.

You can get credit from some tire stores for your old tires, but not much, because once a tire is mounted, it's considered used, no matter how many miles are on it. Find a shop that sells used tires, they will buy them if you are buying new tires from them.

People in Canada sell take-off rims and tires all the time on Kijiji. Some increase their profit by separating the rims from the tires and selling them individually. It is a big business in AB; I have done it and it is easy and I got cash and a much better price than any car dealer or tire shop would pay. I also bought a spare set of F150 rims for my truck, to mount winter tires. Look on Kijiji for competitive current prices. HTH

Default trade in "new" tires

On my 2011 f-150,I did my own dealer trade. When I got back from doing the dealer trade, the truck had less than 300 mi. on it. The next day when I picked it up from my dealer, I went to a well known tire shop in my area and they allowed me $ 165 each for p235 hankooks when I went to 265-75r-18 Michelins. Just my experience.
