Default Do steel trucks have a desireable value?

I was wondering ,seein some of the ads for the aluminum body/bed P/U's ,if the older ,steel trucks might have a more desirable value.Perhaps even one day a collectable. My 2013 Lariet supercab,5.0 ,locking3.55 rear ,tow pkg.Ruby Red with buckets only has 38,000 mi..Love the Truck, but do miss the 8 ft bed./ Any thoughts.? Saw the guy forum where an alum.body was torched.Bad scene. Not that it would of mattered if it was steel.

Yes, but only if it's a 6.2 Super Crew, FX4, with Tow Package, 6.5 ft bed and 3.73 gears.

Agree wholeheartedly, although I would say any F150 with a 6.2. Even on the used market now they command a premium and are quite rare.

When I was shopping for a truck I could have bought any truck on the lot, but the problem with the 6.2 engines is that you had to buy the trucks with the bells and whistles to get them.I wanted more than the base 3.7, and the ecoboost was $750 more than the 5.0, so I got the V8 and it's done everything I want and more.If I could have gotten the XLT with the 6.2 for $500 more I would have done it, after all this is America and bigger is better !

5.0 is more valuable and simply better in all ways than a 6.2

After wanting a 6.2/F150 for the last 2-3 years, I happened across this truck in mid-April and bought it. I love it. 2013 - 51,000 mi.at purchase.
Edit: I didn't realize how bad that first picture was.

To OP, no. Steel body will not be collectible.

Yup. There may be specific variants (e.g, Raptor, 6.2-powered, etc) that are, there were far too many steel-bodied trucks for them to become collectible--and the continuing increases in F-Series sales after the switch to 'loomnum bodywork indicates that most truck buyers don't give a flying fig about it.
