Sorry for the questions but what size is your monitor? I love the monitor in that small skoal can holder (or that's what I use it for)

Default reverse screen

Just a quick answer the screen is 21/2 however the overall size is larger and will not fit in your holder because it has the controls on /off, power lite, brightness these make the overall size a little larger. Heres a thought if you put it in the holder it is and will be awkward to see ( too low) Am interested in why you would want the camera facing forward. If you still want the size let me know and I will measure it for you.

I ordered the tag holder camera set up for the rear and was just trying to figure out where I was going to mount the monitor.
I think it would be ok to mount it at the small holder area under the 4x4 selector
Or maybe the other one on opposite side-
I just don't want to put it on the dash.

Hi guys,

Before I buy my parts I want to make sure they are what I need. I am going to mount the screen in the cubby left of the radio.

If you can tell me if these are the right parts I would appreciate it.

So I'm golden?

I just want to make sure that the tailgate camera is the right one along with the camera.

Thanks,

I mounted my GPS where you are talking about (just under the 4x4 selector), with 3m Velcro. I like it here but it is a little low- though I typically just listen to the GPS anyhow.

I was going to mount my backup camera screen here and just move the GPS to the cup holder when needed.

Now I am considering getting a GPS with backup camera compatability. I don't want TOO many screens everywhere.

Really the cleanest ways to mount a screen IMO is via built in double din head unit or built in rear view mirror. These are just more $$$.

I see you got the adjustable camera. I like the angle yours looks at, I have one question tho. Does the camera lock into place somehow once you adjust the angle? Im just wondering if the angle would change after going through a car wash.

Wow, just realized how old this thread is lol.

Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=190780113515

I'm thinking about picking this one up and installing it behind the grill to help with parking in front (I back in most the time though lol) plus I could hook it up to a dvd player or my ps3 and game when I'm bored lol
