Wow, the only tank I got that bad of mileage on was a tank of ethanol, and I drive the hell out of it too.

Wait a minute. I thought the truck in that 2011+ misfire shudder thread was an EB. So your telling me that some 5.0s are having the same misfire/shudder issue too?

Sorry to hear about the divorce, but congrats on the new truck.

On this thread, I am sure there will be people saying to get a new GF, one who fits nicely in YOUR FORD TRUCK

Don't forget that you won't have to change the oil for a while and pay for a car wash right away. Also you won't be needing new tires for some time. All kinds of good reasons for going with a new truck not to mention ya need to give yourself a treat after going through a divorce. New truck is a great way to do that. Next I would recommend a nice looking young girl for the passenger seat. Go Bob

Good gig! Friend of our family's just went through a divorce, she was sleepin around. So he got a good divide from it, sold their big house and moved into a nice azz new apartment downtown, and ordered himself a new Platinum 6.2 with the rest of the money he got from selling the house, all while not really spending any money at all.

New trucks are always nice, aren't they

Wow, thanks for the good cheer everyone! I have the new truck and she is a beaut, that EB really throws you back into the seat plus the extras I didn't have before really make this a sweet deal. Yes, the passenger seat will be filling up sooner than later.

Yes, the 5.0L have the shudder as well and I couldn't stand it anymore, was getting worse day by day, very annoying.

Yes. I've only been on here a few weeks and know that. There many threads about it.

I knew some of them had the shudder, but I thought it was the transmission/suspension shudder that most are speaking of and not the misfire shudder from the engine. I keep hearing from 5.0 guys that this an EB issue only and is due to the intercooler condensation which is a load of crock if the 5.0 is having the same issue.

I should have been a little more clear with my answer. Keep in mind I know very little about the subject in general. This is mostly from what I've read here.

I think you're mostly right about your assessment of the difference in the issue with each motor. I think what makes it hard to differentiate is the fact that most people posting issues communicate their problems in such a way that it makes the difference hard to understand.

Kind of like all the ecoboost owners saying they have shifting issues and wording it in such a way that it sounds more like a motor issue than a transmission issue. We all know both motors share the same tranny.
