Default Ditched Sync for Pioneer Setup

Hey guys so I finally ditched the Sync and OEM speakers. Let me tell you, this is the best money I've spend on a mod.

Sounds way better than OEM Radio and the subwoofer is just the cherry on top of the Sundae. No, its not loud or anything near a professional setup but it sounds clean and decent. Way better than before.

Here my current setup:
-Pioneeer AVG-X4700 BS($325)
-Rockville RW8CA(saves me room in the back and its easily disconnected if I have to).(95$)

-PAC Audio Harness complete($100)
-4X Speakers 682.11CF infinity kapp($200)

Been getting compliments left & right. Dash looks straight from factory. Hardest part was removing the old cigarette lighter from the old face plate.

USB and Aux are not retain, at least for my setup. Which is okay with me because I stream all my music from bluetooth which is the main reason I ditched sync wit all its problems.

Default Ditched Sync for Pioneer Setup

I'm curious why you didn't put the sub behind the seat to save even more room. Another member showed his Rockville sub behind the seat a few weeks ago so I know it'll fit. Just a little food for thought. It might be something you want to try out. I'm actually looking to do pretty much the same thing once the iDatalink dash kit is released for the '13s except I'll go with the 10" version of the sub.

Default nice sub

Very cool! I just ordered my 8" sub to pair with some rockville headrest monitors and pioneer nex 1330 head unit. I love how it fits so nicely under the back seat... I didn't want anything that stuck out from underneath, so that really restricted my options. The reviews on it are really good though, so I'm hoping the install goes smoothly (never installed a sub before). Also, thinking about changing out the stock speakers up front, but they sound a lot better now that I changed out the head unit!

This might be a dumb question, but how’d you get the headunit bezels to perfectly match the opening? My current setup utilized a mounting bracket.

He is probably using a Scosche mount kit where you are using the Metra.
Honestly I like the Metra because it breaks it up a little. The Scosche just looks too plain for me (Too much real estate not being used)

Default Metra

I used the metra kit if that helps. I am happy with the outcome.

Metra 95-5820B Double DIN...

Ahh that makes more sense. Yea I have the metra. I kind of like the look of what he has. If I finally ditch my HU for a non POS I might switch.

Yeah, I installed the little in-dash usb and hdmi ports so that it would look “stock”. The original aux and sync USB port still work, but the sync usb doesn’t support Apple car play.

Default Rockford setup

I thought I had ordered the same sub because I was looking at it on amazon but accidentally ordered a slightly different model. I’m not disappointed at all.... it won’t wake the neighbors or win any competitions but it’s exactly what I wanted. Fits nicely under the seat and sounds great!
