Default Dissapointed with payload capacity

I I purchased my new 13 crew xlt a few month ago and really love the truck, it's leaps and bounds better than my 98 Sierra, although I really miss my 350 power, no complaints with the Eco though. My truck has a tow package but no max tow or max payload, it's completely my mistake for not doing more research but as I understood before the purchase these trucks were rated for a 3k+ payload capacity, I have now found out my truck outfitted as it is has a capacity of 1500+, I'm a tile setter and am carrying heavy skids of tile so payload is very important, I made it work with my 2 wheel Sierra with an extra spring and can defiantly work with this truck, I guess I just wish I had done more research and outfitted my truck accordingly

Just so you know, I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Lol ya airbags might work or an extra leaf but this is a lease so trying not to spend to much on add ons, I've purchased stronger tires and new wheels because the stock 4-ply gyrs are not grt for weight

I have hauled over 3000 pounds of top soil in the bed of my truck. Now with that said I was over weight by a lot. I also know that an F150 or a 1500 or what ever the company calls it is only rated for about 1000 pounds in the bed.

You can add a leaf put stronger tires on it etc but in the end it is still only rated for X amount. If for some reason you get in a wreck and they find you over weight the insurance company will not be your friend nor will the cops or lawyers.

Just say it can be done and it has been done just know the risk.

I think adding airbags would be your best bet. Since its a lease you could always remove them and recoup at least half of your investment by selling them

I wonder how much airbags would be? I've watched some utube vids of the new ram with them and it is very cool built In From the factory

No 1/2 ton is rated at 3000 lbs payload capacity. You need a 1 ton for that. Average rating is 1300 to 1600 lb payload.
