That's not a bad deal, although, gessh, sorry to hear of your hassle. My $0.02: Research and pick out a Fuel model. Sell your OEMs (with full disclosure), and pocket a nominal amount of cash in exchange for unexpectedly upgrading your truck with new custom wheels.

Well I am not upset at all because they are trying everything to make it right. You can't ask for more then that. Are fuel the best after market wheels? I want something that will last the life of the truck and not chip etc if I go that route.

Well it hasn't worked out yet, so I called this morning to tell the manager what wheels I picked out and was told he no longer works there. Fml 🔫. So I got ahold of the other manager who knows what has been going on and said he needs to get this taken care of and will look into seeing when he can get the wheels. I just want this resolved and over with.

That sucks! Sorry it happened to you.
I've had it happen twice. 1st time was a new set of tires on a Nissan Frontier.
Damage looked identical to yours. It took a month to get it worked out. They refinished them(wheels had a painted finish). That was BigO

The second time was a flat on my F150, 8k miles. It has the 18" machined STX wheels. With the bad taste of my last experience still in mind, I looked it over when they finished. The wheel was completely dirty(not when I drove in).
I cleaned it off, and there was a 1" gouge near the bead.
They tried to have it refinished, no deal, it looked like crap. Then they order a used one, worse than what I had.
They ended up buying a new one, but it was a huge hassle.
That was Americas Tire.

Moral of the story, if anyone works on your wheels, you better check them before you leave. It happens a lot appearantly.
Stay after them, and I hope you get it worked out soon.

Which aftermarket model did you decide to go with?

You can bet I will check them every time now. I choose the fuel D551 but haven't heard back from the other manager I am talking to because he apparently didn't show up today 😒 i just want a non damaged set of wheels on the truck and to get this over with because I am starting to not trust them.

Thank you, it took me hours to pick those out. That's if I ever get them. I called this morning and left a message for the manager. He didn't show up for some reason. I was never called back. I just called again, the wheels were never ordered and he didn't even remember the part number just that they were fuel wheels. I'm starting to get a little upset. He said if I don't hear from him by 9 I need to call him. WTF

I've been going to Discount for years for new tires, wheels and rotation. They screwed up some cheap wheels I had on F250 years ago by letting the lug nuts spin off the studs and rattle around on the wheels along with the air gun socket hitting them. I complained and got a new set.

Every time I take in my F150 I'm sure to tell the manager that they better not get scratched or nicked up.

For my vette, I take them off myself and bring them to discount tire for balance, etc. Just want to minimize the potential of damage if it can be avoided.

I think those young kid tire jockeys compete on who can get the work done the fastest.

BTW, nice wheels, I have the same ones except color reversed.
