If anything, it looks more like something done when balancing the new tires maybe. Good Luck!

Well I just called and he thanked me for calling him so soon. He said if they damaged it they will take care of it. He wanted me to bring the truck in but I said I couldn't for a while but I have pictures. I sent pictures and that's where we are at so far. If it was a balancer the only other people that had balanced the wheels were ford on the assembly line.

no, the only 'other' besides the assembly line was discount tire

op - DT has always gone above/beyond in my experience, so unnless it was impossible for them to have caused it, they'll probably make it good even if you can't prove they did it. on the other hand it's still a business, so if there's no reasonable way their techs could've done it I wouldn't expect any help.

looks like they used a metal demount head instead of the plastic head, most good tire shops will use them on high end wheels.

this is used for aluminum wheels to prevent scratches and gouging

this one is used for steel wheels

check with the shop you had do them and ask why they did not use correct mount and demount head, most shops have them in there possession.

There getting me four new wheels. Took it up there and I could read the managers mind ( he was like I am gona kill one of my workers) he basically said they messed them up and that they have a special machine for this type of wheel. He said he would get me new ones and I asked if they would be new because I wanted something nice as what I had. He said new and that refurbished would probably be worse then what I had.

I am glad they are doing the right thing. It sounds like a stand up business. Like you, I am very particular about my wheels, and clean them about twice a week. I am glad it worked out.

Well I went to get my new wheels put on today and one was majorly messed up. They say it got damaged in shipping. Now they say I can pick out a aftermarket set on there dime or they will try and get me another new or supposed to be new set. I don't even know where to start. I really like the ones I have but will check out some fuel and xd wheels as that's what they recommend.
