Default steering angle in truck apps not working now?!?

I've had my Guidelines dissappear numerous times in the 7 months I've had my truck, but I haven't had to take my truck in for anything so I haven't bothered having the dealer look at this inconvenience.

Now I noticed the steering angle in the Truck Apps isn't working. The angle of descent and pitch are working on that screen, but not the degree to which I turn the wheel.

This makes me think the problem is in the software rather than the camera, I guess I'll eventually take it in to see what they say, but the pain of dropping it off for a day or more is greater than the inconvenience of not having those functions.

Sorry, don't want to hijack the thread but figured it gives indication that the cameras may not be the fault. Anyone else noticed this about their steering angle app?

I haven't noticed anything with the steering angle, but that's because I have no use to ever look at it. I took the truck in and dropped it off today and asked them to fix the disappearing guidelines and the Sync issues. I'll see by this afternoon if they can fix it.

Well they said no software updates, but that a new updated camera was ordered and they will replace as soon as it comes in.

I really don't look at my steering angle that often either, but I just happened to notice it.
My truck will be going in as soon as I'm back to see what they say about both issues, I'll post the results.

Default here is what I have found so far for my guide lines etc

Well I have been reading the posts with some interest and thought I would throw in my 2cents. I did notice when I got my 2011 EB that the lines would disapear and I thought "man this is annoying something is not right" but after playing around with it I have found this.

My park lines and also center line will disapear...but. It only seems to happen after I have hooked up and pluged in a trailer. I did not see any posts that seem to mention anyone towing so I thought I would add that in. Also to mention that the park assist is canceled as well every time I plug the trailer plug in. I did notice that it only happens when I use the 7 pin conector and not the 4pin.

I have always had to reset them after towing with the 7pin but have never had to reset with the 4pin

otherwise I have not had them dissapear on their own...yet

Mine was like that too. Then it started acting up with no regard to a trailer hookup.

The camera and guides have a mind of their own. They work when they want.

So my lines only disappeared once in a blue moon, except for this past week. I went out of town, and the lines disappeared about 5 times. Kind of funny how this happens right after I take the truck in for an oil change on Tuesday. I talked to the service writer, and they checked the "ssm's" for my truck. He said any truck with rearview camera built on or before 9/30/11 needs a new camera. It is on order, and should be installed this coming Thursday. Hopefully all of my zoom and park aid functions still work. I'll keep the thread posted.

I'll check my "off-road" app next time I'm in the truck. Were you moving when you moved the wheel? Not sure if the wheels have to roll in order for the app to detect the angle. Kind of a useless app for me, as of yet, but who knows.

Also, I haven't ever hooked up a trailer to the truck yet, so not sure about the trailer plug causing any issues.

Default Possible Fix

Have had this problem for the last year on a 2011 Lariat Supercrew. Have tried all of these solutions and by chance reset the camera and guidelines while in a Key On Engine Off mode. They have not gone away even after the outside temperature is above 80F.
