Default Disable DRL on a 2009

I searched the owners manual for at least a fuse or relay location, but i had no luck. I've had my truck for almost 2 weeks and i hate DRLs. Any help would be great. I know the trucks are new, but maybe we can start searching if no one has a fix yet.

I'll get some up soon. It is just an XL Plus though. Crew cab, loaded inside, but i just have the steel wheels and bumpers. It is white and i have 20% on all the windows. It is a company vehicle.

I can't believe that there wouldn't even be a relay for the DRLs. Nothing in the owners manual at all. I don't know why they even ordered them for it.

Come on! Someone has to have a starting point so we can start doing some test to determine where the lights are getting their juice from!

Look in your owners manual for the relay for the DRL. I would imagine that the '09 differences are mainly cosmetic, I.E. same chassis, harnesses, etc. The manual should give you a map of your fuse box, and another box possibly located on the LH fender well under the hood. If that's the case, and it's the same relay. Unseat that bad boy, and ops check your lights and see if that disables them.

The owner manual says nothing about DRL for fuse locations or relay locations.

Nothing at all?!! In my '08 manual, it's under the roadside emergency section, and maps them all out. How about going to the index, and looking for a fuses / relay page?

I sure hope Ford isn't trying to save that much money by taking those pages out....

Nothing. I even went out and brough my manual in. I went through the whole roadside emergancy section which entales the fuses/relays and still nothing. It has to be powered by something, even if it piggy backs with something else on a fuse or relay.

What location is your in on the 08?

On the left fender well, under the hood, there's a small black box that has the relay in it on my '08. It clips into the fender well, pretty easy to get to it. On top of the box, it should have the layout of what is inside.

I'm at work now, and I left my manual at home. I'll take some pics, and post them for ya when I get home. Hopefully that will help.
