Does your truck have fords vehicle security system? My truck used to honk on the first press. I used these instructions to turn it off.

I am currently also searching for the solution to the horn honking after hitting lock button on the Fob more than once. Same situation. Added an aftermarket remote start that operates off the lock button on the key fob. Did you ever figure it out? Thanks.

Got a range extending remote that has a dedicated start button was my final solution. was a bit more in cost but the extra range was nice.

Default Another Idea

I just ordered the same remote start and here is what I intend to do. Break the wire that powers the horn at the horn location. Place these wires on a relay. Control the relay with +12v that is hot only when the the truck is running. Horn will be disabled if car is not running, and will have power available when the truck is running.

Not sure which aftermarket remote start you have but mine was the same way. 3 lock presses to start.(of course the horn would honk) I found that the start sequence was programmable. So I changed it to lock-unlock-lock, and no horn honk.

The real solution would be to use the remote start feature already built in instead of aftermarket.
