Disable battery saver
Is there any way to disable the 45 minute timer that disables the radio with the key in accessory or on with the engine off?
I can think of many reasons why I would have the radio on without the engine like washing and waxing, drive in movies, etc.
You either have to pull the key out for a few minutes and open the door or start the engine to reset the clock.

I would like to know the answer to this too - but also wonder if anyone has replaced the factory system yet and still have this problem. I plan on putting a new system in after Christmas and wonder if I should even bother defeating the factory system.

Cut the ignition wire going to the radio and put a diode spliced in (Diodes let power only go one way, make sure you have it so it only goes towards the radio). then on the radio side of the diode also solder in a wire that goes to constant power. Be sure to put a switch on that wire with constant power so your radio isnt on 100% of the time. then when you want the radio on while at the drive in/waxing just flip the switch no keys in ignition needed

Yes, instant fix. Did mine about a year ago. Don't drive anywhere near as often now and haven't had any dead battery problems since.
