Dielectric grease on plugs question

Anyone know if too much dielectric grease on spark plugs or it being on the contact areas could cause misfires?
Thanks for any input!

I have never had any problems, but the grease is an insulator. The voltage to the plugs is so high, it should not even see a smearing of grease, tho......

As a good rule of thumb I just apply enough to coat the contacts- anything more is a waste.

Dielectric grease (Vaseline) is non-conductive. At any voltage. But it's a very good idea to keep things clean. Grease of any sort attracts dirt, dust, debris, which can cause issues...
