I changed out my plugs around 80k and immediately noticed a jump in MPG by around 2-3 miles per gallon highway. I also felt like the truck had more power, however may or may not have been the case. But I couldn't argue with the instant increase in mpg while driving the same paths, in the same manner. Sadly I did not check the gap on the existing plugs, but all of the new ones I set at .030 - .032.

I will need to set aside time to do the front/rear diff. I got the truck with 75k, but now am at 105k and do not know if they were done before I got it. It could be the factory fluid still grinding away in there.....

I am having pretty bad mpg myself (2014 screw 3.7 V6) ever since I got the truck.I'm averaging 15 hwy and 9 city. I haven't hand calculated but from reading posts the avg. mpg is "close" to accurate. I haven't done any maintenence since I purchased it 4k miles ago. I'm now at 31k, going to change engine oil, plugs and air filter and hope for the best.

.
I'd like to say air filter too but the one I previously had in only had 5k miles on it and still looked new. I changed it out because I have a few trips planned with lots of dusty dirt roads. This is the 4th filter I have put in the truck since I've owned. I really think the spark plugs made the biggest difference.

I think the truck appears to feel smoother but hard to say.

How do they clarify "severe duty" it would be interesting to read up on that. I do a fair amount of towing and long distant towing. It's not a super heavy trailer but around 6500lbs. I've put 3000 miles on that trailer in less than a year.

Same engine, I'm getting 19 mpg with 35k miles on it. Only had routine oil changes. I'm running stock tires and wheels. What's your commute like?

I do know that right after I wash my truck it is soooo much faster. The drag coefficient drops like a rock from all the dust specs gone from my paint!! Oh but wait...add a coat of wax, it fills in all the pin scratches in the clear coat and then the truck screams as the drag coefficient seems non-existent!!! Any more and I'd be able to tip the scale and convert the truck to a pure energy state and achieve warp status.

Zero commute, I got a company car. I put a 4 inch rc lift and 295/70 18 so my mpg is about the same as my V10 excursion now. The mpg I was getting was prior to the lift and wheels.

I expected more from a Nuke....no Langmuir's Theory of lubrication or thin film flow discussion???? Thanks for the chuckle.

Well the biggest diff was the plugs. It's an ecoboost and your plug gap was like 1/3 off lol

Default New Owner of a 2011 Lariat

Now you have me worried too.
My (recently purchased) 2011 3.5L ECB Lariat 4X4 has 75K miles and I don't have any previous records. I'm told it has fresh oil, but now I'm wondering if the front or rear diff needs changing. I'm also having a tough time getting over 13 MPG. Do I need to pull the plugs? I intend to get a lot of mileage out of this truck and I want to do the right thing.
