did they ever get sync fixed? Can I fix it with an update so i dont have to tell it "bluetooth audio" over and over and over again?
On my "high performance" mustang...(feels slow to me) ...when I step on it I always have to wait around a few seconds for the ****ty and slow computer to give the car permission to go fast.
These are the reasons that I will probably not buy another ford

Unfortunately these days with drive by wire and intrusive traction control/ engine management anything you buy new will have that delay when you hit the gas. I’ve driven many products from GM to Toyota that do this. If you buy a good tuner and reprogram your ecm you can remove that lag. Sync doesn’t have anything to do with this, but yea, sync sucks.....then again so does onstar.

LOL, good luck with your future.

Sync 1 was pretty good for when it was introduced, but had...issues (the '13 (and '14?) STXes were among the last to get it). Sync 2/MFT was originally a disaster, but got better. Sync 3 is so much better than the previous generations that it's not really fair to call it Sync.

Personally while it's not great, it wouldn't be a dealbreaker. Probably one of the least important things to me.

Lol. Yeah you need to sell and buy a 78 F250.

Ditch sync and get aftermarket. Much better. Reset the Kam and tps on a regular basis.

I had the same issue where I had to tell it "Bluetooth Audio" every time I got in but after I updated Sync that issue was resolved.

Go back home to where everything is perfect again.

Since you provided absolutely no information about your vehicle and what version of Sync you are running then the answer is "YES." Ford did fix SYNC and now it does everything you want it to do. It even does that one thing that it didn't do before.

My 2014 XLT defaults back to Bluetooth, but my 2011 didn't. From what others have posted, the sync system has been updated a number of times since release.

As for "i wanna go fast" and Ford holding you back. Most any modern car will come with built in nannies designed to protect the driver from aggressive or dangerous actions. I despise them, and believe that if i spend MY money to buy MY truck, I should be able to roll it into a goddamn ditch if I want to. Drives me nuts that if on a snowy day, i slip a tire, the truck will cut the throttle and brake to prevent me from possibly crashing. I am may have a very good reason for needing to keep tires spinning. At any rate, I am an adult and should not have to buy a $500 tuner to turn off a computerized babysitter. But alas, those nannies do prevent crashes so that is the world we all live in now.
