Default Did I get lied to by the Service Writer?

Went to the Dealership for my Winter oil change and tire rotation. I've had an clunking noise from either the transmission or differential when i ease of the gas and start coasting. I have read somewhere on these forums that the drive-shaft may need greasing or re-flashing the trans. After I had told the service writer about my concerns, he simply stated that Ford was aware of the problem and were working on a fix and that I would be notified. It's an 2012 XLT XTR.

Not sure how reflashing would help. Greasing might. I wouldn't say you were lied to. Just the guy wanted the lazy way out.

He was definitely lazy, he couldn't even get my odometer reading right...I had 8664KMs...He got 8064Kms. He said I would get an survey to fill out and he needed 9's out of 10. I don't think he'll be getting any 9's from me.

There is a tsb out for the driveshaft. It's a simple regrease and it usually fixes the problem. Your service writer is either lazy or doesn't have a clue.

YOur problem is a shudder, or bump when stopping and/or accelerating, or is it a pop/snap/clunk when going from drive to reverse or reverse to drive?

There is a TSB for one, and a fix in the works for the other.

They're all lazy and that's all they look for is a great write up on a survey. I had the sale manager wait for me outside and he asked why I don't give good write ups, because they make more money in their pockets if it's a good score. I told him i was tired of leaving my vehicle in the past and picking it up after work and getting the"couldn't duplicate problem crap"
You leave the vehicle, get a ride to and from work, and the same line as always.

TSB on this, not a recall so it would be a charge unless you have an extended warranty.
