Default Did the dealership ruin my EcoBoost?

I recently purchased a CPO 2013 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost SCREW and with the CPO deal I got an oil change, full tank of gas, etc. complimentary. Coming up on 4,500 miles I decided to change my oil just to be safe. Crawled under, pulled out the drain bolt and walked away.....fast forward 30 minutes and I go to replace the bolt and I notice that there is 11.5 quarts of oil that drained from the case! I replace the filter, fill her up with 6 quarts, and reset the oil life countdown.

Thinking about it, I decided to call the dealership, explain the situation and tell them that I'm going to bring the truck in for a check up to make sure seals are fine and that there's no indication of excess stress.

I haven't noticed any issues with the truck at all since I got it, engine sounds great and mileage is around what people report. I do notice that when the engine is cold and I goose it, I get smoke out of the exhaust, but I've read that's fairly common with the EcoBoosts.

When I take the truck in, is there anything specific that I should be asking them to look at? I mainly want this issue to be documented in case there is damage that arises further down the road. There is also no concrete evidence of them filling up 11.5quarts, just my word.

I assume that you never checked the dipstick in 4500 miles?

Did it smell like gas? Or have a milky consistency?

Make sure you don't have a HPFP leaking fuel.

Luckily it did not smell like gas and it was your standard concentrated black in the pan / brownish on the fingers.

Are there any other symptoms of a HPFP failure besides gas leak?

No, If its leaking it will fill the crankcase with fuel.

You drove 4,500 miles without checking your oil level?

No spots in the driveway. I never had any indication to check banking off the fact that it was a newer vehicle.

But again, any questions/concerns to bring up to the dealer when it goes in for service?

I know we are all speculating here. Maybe the oil change tech (kid) didn't drain the oil and did a fill on top of the existing oil??? You never know! If it didn't reek of gas it's a possibility and may explain the smokey exhaust.
