We have the same issue here in Lexington, KY. I stay away from our 30+ acre "Autoplex" because of an issue I had with my old 2001 Ranger (that truck was horrible).

The "big city" dealership was a total joke. I went one time and never went back because the service department treated me like trash and basically told me I fabricated the problem with the engine in my head. Went to the dealership in Versailles the next week and they performed a TSB on that truck that fixed the problem for a while before it came back and never got better (valves chattering and sounding like the engine was going to blow up at highway speeds). They even went as far as to cannibalize a cruise control cable off a new truck on the lot to get mine fixed and back to me as soon as possible after they stretched mine replacing the timing chain tensioner on one repair.

The last car I had before I got my truck was a Honda. I will tell you the Honda dealership isn't any better. In fact, I think it's worse. Much worse.

I bought my 2010 F150 from Wildcat Ford in Nicholasville. All I can say is wow. I feel like a celebrity when I walk in there. I have had one dealing with the service department so far (bad center cap which I think I have another one going bad) which was stellar. I do not hesitate recommending Wildcat Ford to anyone.

I had a great experience at Brandon Ford. But obviously not everyone gets the same experience at the same place. To many variables. I would recommend my salesman anyday.

I'll jump on the Brandon Ford bandwagon too. Got my truck there in July. It was a great buying experience.

Just to clear the air I bought from Brandon Ford.... aside from the Presidential Award BS they treated me right. They are high inventory so of course they had the best price. Bought my 04 Eddie Bauer EXP from them as well... now service.... they suck! I go to Ford Quality Care on Gunn HWY (N Tampa)

Question

Its all about your service advisor too. We had one with Honda that was great (Wifes Car). We even got invited to picnics and things with him. Then he left the Honda dealership we went to and our service went to crap. Just got my 2010 FX4 SCrew and bought it in VA at the same time I moved to Southern Maryland...does anybody live in the Lex Park/Lusby area know of a good service dept. here?

Yeah, our dealership has won the Presidential Award, for sales, service and parts every year its been available. So we've won it six straight years. As cool as that is, and as proud of it as we are, THAT SHOULD NEVER BE USED AS A CLOSING TOOL!

Some dealers are so amazed that they actually won it ONCE, they feel the need to tell everyone. What a bunch of BS. Ignore stupid stuff like that.

Our dealership has been Blue Oval Certified and won the President's award the last 10 years in a row......When I was in Sales, we were told never to use it as a closing tool.

If anyone on here is from northern NY I can tell you that you get treated like royalty at Lofink ford in Carthage NY. They are a decent size dealer in a small town and the sales and servise are the best I have ever had. Oh yeah I buy a new truck every year or so.
