Dealer refusing service
They are right. They won't get paid for the tsb unless they can diagnose it and it falls under that. Some places will lie. Others won't. Try a different dealer. And a feeling of entitlement will get you no where with a dealer.
I agree with the guys about them not having to do it. I don't think they have to do anything unless they can produce the issue the tsb covers... That mixed with sounds to me like you have your truck at a crappy dealer. Some are easy to work with some suck. I had a couple misfire feeling shudders in my truck at cruise. It took it to my dealer, the tech drove it and couldn't reproduce the problem and said what he thought it was but couldn't be sure u less the scan the computer but that might cost more... I said go ahead anyways. They did diagnosis and found misses in 2 coils but it only happened a couple times. They took the coil out and tested for water, cleaned and regreased it with new grease or whatever and said "you'll be fine this one is on us"... No charge at all. Point of that long a** story is find yourself a better dealer. Mine has been great to work with from test drive and 4 yrs later 2 warranty issues and that.
Every time your trucks acts up keep bringing it in After four or five times seeing you and knowing your name they will address the issue to get you out of their hair.....

PERSISTENCE PREVAILS
I went the customer care route, and called them yesterday. The lady on the phone said that she would escalate the matter to a regional service representative, and that they would be calling me either today or tomorrow (wednesday or thursday, since dropping it off on monday morning) with some kind of update. I am thinking about taking it to the other dealer on the other side of town after reading this thread; I'm worried they will treat my truck badly after getting corporate involved.
