Dealer refusing service
I have a 2011 Ecoboost SCrew that I bought used with approximately 29000 miles a month or so ago. After about 500 miles of ownership, I found that it has the "shuttering" problem that a lot of people have with theirs. I've also found that some mornings when I stop my vehicle, there's an extra "thunk" that happens after I've stopped completely.
I took it to the dealership a couple days ago, and they said that they can't reproduce the problem, and they refuse to do the computer update in the TSB relevant to the issue until they experience it themselves - their reason being that "Ford won't reimburse us for the work".
After day three of being without my truck, I'm starting to be pretty displeased. Have any of you had to deal with something like this? What did you ultimately do?

My issue is that it's a TSB / known issue and that the vehicle is still under warranty. I believe I'm entitled to the corrective measures provided by ford, and I believe it should be covered under the warranty, if nothing else.

From my understanding a TSB won't do it for you if they are refusing to fix it. It isn't a recall so they have the "right" to refuse fixing it unless they feel it is in need of the repair. If they are like some of the places around here they will play games with you as long as possible in hopes you will run out of warranty. I would try going to a different dealership that pays their techs well with warranty work...they are out there.
