I always get the "Fuel Saver Special" of the Ford Owner site. Oil/filter change, tire rotation, and a comprehensive inspection with checklist costs me around $40.00.

On top of that my trucks gets vacuumed and washed (complimentary), I earn a free oil change (pay for five) and get the rewards points. There is no way I could do it myself for that. Not to mention that I will never have a warranty problem.

My dealer has "The Works" for $40 as well (oil& filter change, tire rotation, fluids top off, etc) with 5 quarts. For whatever reason, this is what they charge me, without adding on for the additional 3 quarts.

You cannot but 8 quarts of Mototcraft 5W-20 syn blend for that price, nevermind also buying the FL-500S filter. Add in the rotation, and it's a no brainer.

I've always changed my own oil on every car and truck I've owned. I like doing it. I like knowing the right oil was used. I like knowing my filter was actually changed and not just wiped off with a rag to look new. But for $40 and 30 minutes of my time (which I spend walking around ogling the new Fords) I've begun to just go to the dealer with this truck.

At various times of year there are $10 rebates on The Works also.

My dealership charged around $70 for the works and $45 for a quick lube. I can't be bothered to pay for oil and filter and crawl underneath it for that cost. Especially with checking and topping up my fluids.

If I go just synthetic here in SK it's about 142$ 70$ for regular Motorcraft change with inspection and fluid top up... no rotation

I do my own oil change and rotation...lets me keep an eye on thinks. I also did my own coolant. An "old school" transmission service (drop the pan, new fluid/filter/gasket) ran me $240. Apparently the "standard" auto transmission service now consists of hooking it up to a machine and circulating new fluid in. My pan gasket was leaking so I made sure I got it done right.

I've never been to the dealer for an oil change. The cheapest place I've found in Ontario is Active Green+Ross. $19.99 oil change + tax + env fees, etc comes out to just about $30 depending on location and car. I do my own though and have found the Fumoto valves very convenient.

👍Congratulations on that mileage I don't plan on keeping my 13 Fx4 past 95000Km, currently sitting at 30,000 at 2 years old
do you get full synthetic?
