you need to find the failure point. If there was no oil on the dipstick when you reached home doesn't mean they didn't fill it. The filter may not have been installed properly and slowly leaked out over your drive = no oil pressure warning until the end. find the failure

I wouldn't leave without a brand new engine.
More details please.

Yes, this, in fact contact the sales manager of any TV and radio stations that the dealer advertises on, that worked for me once.

When I bought my Lincoln, it included Lincoln providing regularly-scheduled maintenance for the first 12K miles (which, oddly enough, adds up to 2.5 oil changes, per the manual). I let the dealership do the first two oil changes (the only two times I've let anyone else change my oil), and they didn't show me the dipstick either time.

Dealer has manned up and is giving me a new 5.0L engine. I hope the tech who was working on my truck learns a lesson and isn't fired. I really wanted to see how far this truck could go with the original motor so I'm kind of bummed out!

Nice! Glad to hear they're making it right, at least.

Nice. I bet the grease monkey that changed your oil is out of a job. Probably the lowest paid guy there..

Nice to hear that the Dealer stepped up. It was probably an oil change tech, they're a dime a dozen, they unfortunately probably replaced him/her already, too big of a liability to keep them around.
