DDM Tuning
#11
Ive delt with DDM on numerous occasions, and each and every time they provided sh**ty service and a sh**ty product.. probably the worst HID seller out there. Cheap bulbs, cheap ballast, cheap harnesses. Harness falls apart at the fuse out of the box (had to fix myself) and ballasts replaced more times than I can count, so I finally gave up when I lost a headlight and foglight ballast all in the same day. The very first time I installed HIDs they were from Retro Solutions, and they lasted 3 years without a problem. When I'm ready to do HIDs again, I will probably go with them.

Same type of experience here. I bought HID heads and fogs from DDM and within a few months the first ballast failed. When I called about warranty their shipping charges were more than the kit was worth. After a few more months more ballast failed. Their product is garbage and their service is horrible. This not a reputable outfit to deal with.

DDM's led's are very cheaply made. I've always bought my replacement led bulbs from autolumination.com they're the original makers of the switchback bulb which is awesome to me.

Ive got switchbacks too, they're pretty awesome. LED's i just buy off ebay for like 2 cents because they seem to be the same quality as those ones that vled's and stuff sell for $10 each, also if they die out its no problem replacing them because they're so cheap and free shipping lol

Sorry went off on a tangent there, I just meant that with DRL's. I had them on my mustang and i needed to unplug my DRL module otherwise i kept blowing ballasts. Doesn't really matter what kit it is, unless you have a relay harness hooked up, one came like that for my edge with a relay and I used it on my F150 and it works great. Expecting a new kit from Sick HID's but we'll see, I think he uses DDM so fine by me.

Hey everyone just thought I'd let you all know what's recently happened to me with this company.
So I ordered a set of Hids from them, the slim kit with the h13 H/L. After talking to them on the phone before purchasing them about me living in Canada and having to disconnect the daytime running lights, They ensured me that I would not have to and that they haven't heard of anyone having to do this before.
About three weeks later they arrive, slightly used and not in new condition, that day I put them in the truck and instantly they aren't working right. The passenger side was working correctly but the drivers side was flickering and it seemed as though they weren't getting full power to them. I checked all the connections and flicked the light switch on and off and they started to work intermittently. I then had to drive 4 hours for work later that day, when I arrived they would not turn off, no matter what I tried or how long I waited. The only way I could get them off was by disconnecting them from the battery.
When i got home I took them out and called ddm, he said it was the main connector or something and sent me a replacement part. After about 5 weeks of waiting i finally got the part, again shows signs of use. I put it back in and went for a drive. About 30 minutes into the drive they turned off completely and I had no lights whatsoever. Tried turning off the truck and back on, but nothing would fix it.
I called them and they said, it's probably because you have daytime running lights and you'll have to disconnect them if you want them to work. Obviously I can't do that being in Canada because it's against the law. So I had to send them back for a refund.
2 weeks later I get an email from them saying this "Thank you for sending us items for a warranty claim. We have tested everything that you sent us. From our testing, the everything proved to be functional and not in saleable condition, screws rusted on bulbs, harness corroded and used, ballast dirtyand scratched."
These hid's were I'm my truck for approximately 6 hours before being removed the first time and 1 hour before being removed for the last time. They were completely dry and this had all happened when the weather was sunny and +20 out. I called them and ended up having a yelling match with them on the phone asking how it was possible for them to have rust on them while being in my truck for only a short period of time. No answers for any questions just kept repeating the same thing over and over.
So all in all I have spent over 30$ on shipping and international fees and the 80$ the Hids costed I am receiving 0$ back.
Just a little information for anyone who is thinking about buying hid's from them especially if you are anywhere in Canada.
