I have an '11 with no rattles, but do have a '13 on order. So I'm subcribing just in case. Thanks Guntherman, one never knows.

I have an annoying squeak that seems to be coming from the passenger side dash. It only started after I pulled back the styrofoam on the ECU to get the code for my tuner. I'm assuming that this styrofoam around the ECU unit under the hood may be the source of my squeak. I've seen many pics where that styrofoam isn't even present. Is there any risk or reason to not remove that styrofoam?

My 2013 F150 has had this rattle since I picked it up (1700 miles now). Thanks to this thread, pretty sure I tracked it down to the door panels as well. Passenger can put a foot on the cupholder and it stops. Dealer working on it now. Thanks!

Let us know how the repair goes, mphuff3. If you need any assistance from me, I'm always just a PM away.

After some more investigation, I found it was the door panel. I don't know the exact mechanics of what's causing it, but I do know that some rubber gasket material (the kind that goes between your faucet and your countertop) makes it stop.

my driver's door was doing the exact same thing. don't be surprised if your noise comes back. mine ended up being the plastic "hooks" that hold the door panel on, metal on plastic rattling. i put some double sided foam tape on the "hook" part of the door panel and the results are amazing! the whole door is quieter now. going to do the other door soon.

Sorry for the late reply. I don't know anything about this foam but generally foam serves a purpose. You might try putting some double-sided tape where the foam touches the object making it squeak.

I eventually got the squeak fixed under warranty - it was nice for the techs because they could see where I put the rubber and knew where to apply the fix. They have a kit with a bunch of foam and tape and stuff in it. I imagine they did the same thing as you Xorak and silenced the hooks. I'm out of warranty now and have a couple squeaks on my other door - I'll try your fix and hopefully it works for me too!

the other little rattle my driver's door had was the little yellow clip that helps hold the rod for the door lock ****. it would move and rattle around so i put a little foam tape on it to stabilize it too.

you can check all those little plastic bits while you have the door panel off.

Xorak! I've been having a similar issue with my doors. I'm having a hard time imagining what your describing. Is there any way for you to break it down for me? Could you take a few pictures? Thanks!
