Default Dash lights stay on, Remote start works

2013 F150 Screw, 5.0

Just like the title says, gauge cluster lights randomly stay on overnight resulting in a dead battery. Just replaced the battery with a brand new interstate. Ive read the other topics stating that the remote start doesnt work but mine does, also, when placing the truck in park the P is lit orange like usual

Havent taken it to Ford yet due to try to avoid being jerked around

Thanks
Kyle

Did the truck come with a remote start? Did you add it? Is it Ford or aftermarket? How long has the truck had this issue. Did you buy the truck used? Did you check the settings in the dash computer to see how the time delay was set? Lots more information is needed...
Why would you be apprehensive to let the dealer check this out? My service guy would shove my truck to the front of the line to get things check out for me.

I would still try that switch on Ebay. The switch in the center console has 3 wires and based off some investigation I've done, one of them sends the signal to the other two wires. If it was only going to one of the wires instead of both, you could very well only have some of the symptoms (ie: remote start working, but white dash lights staying on causing dead battery.) I did my neighboors switch a few weeks ago and the only symptom he had was his white lights stayed on. His orange P still lit up. He didn't have remote start so I can't comment on that. It's 40 bucks and its going to fail sooner than later. I would start there. http://r.ebay.com/hMbGdB

Default Dash Lights Stay on but P and remote start works

I have a 2013 F-150 and the dash lights stay on and drain my battery. The P illuminates and the remote start works ok. Does anyone know what the issue may be?
Thanks

The little one on the shifter assembly. Really easy to change out.
