If you have an iPhone this is the one recommended by dash command.

Overpriced ELM327 based interface. Go with a cheap ebay one. They are identical hardware and work just as well. I have had one for over two years now. Lost and found in boxes, plugged and unplugged many times. Still works like a champ. Paid $20. Great range too. I can walk around a vehicle and do anything I need and stay connected.

Thats the exact one I have, Shipped from the US $13

Or this one, again same hardware, smaller form.

Does this one work with the iPhone 5 and dash command? If so I'm purchasing it today. Also does it work with a splitter?

Probley not with a splitter because it is going to communicate when it has power. so they would interfere. I know it works on the android app. there must be someone thats tried it on the iphone. Besides, if it dosent work (it really should) you can send it back or give it to a friend. its only $13. I am pretty sure it would work though. If I knew anyone with an iphone I would test it.

Palmer performance says the dash commander won't support any Bluetooth compatible ones besides the go point for the iPhone.

I purchased this version from amazon. The wifi version is the only way to connect to an iOS device without jail breaking it.
