Ignition, or clock spring, perhaps.

I think I have this issue in my 2013. Just noticed that my cluster white lights are on after locking truck with key faub and they never go off unless I start the truck again put it in drive then back to park at least this has worked for now but I've been having battery issues so I wonder if this is the prob. I have the steering wheel shifter not the console and I've put my truck in park and don't get the highlighted P until after I turn the ignition off and remove the keys and sometimes the cluster stays on and other times it doesn't so idk if this is an ignition shirt or related to the park sensor/switch going bad. Any ideas? Going back to the dealer Thursday.

I am having the same problem sitting in garage with key in ignition. Park light does come on before I shut truck off. I can wiggle the key in the igniton switch with vehicle turned off and the instrument lights will flash on and off and relays under the hood will cycle. Has anyone tried an ignition switch replacement?

There have been a handful of issues with battery drain and/or lights staying on. And just as many solutions. Ignition has been the solution for some, clock spring others, shifter switch for others, sometimes a bad computer module. It's hard to say what might be causing it.

Certainly sounds like yours could be the ignition if it's obviously shaky.

Yours sounds like ignition switch for sure.

Are there any signs that would point to an ignition switch vs shifter switch. Like I notice when my dash lights stay on the shifter doesn't go into park until I turn the ignition off then he P is highlighted. What are clock springs and how would these cause the dash lights to stay on?

Clock spring is all the cables going thru the steering wheel shaft. So, it can screw up anything in the wheel. I'm not really sure which switch that points to, they seem to be interacting. Maybe that points to the cables, not the switches.

Anyone had experience with this problem not being the shifter switch assembly? Mine was replaced along with the Ignition switch. Still having the issue, but I have a working Red P and remote start works.
