My neighbor ended up having the same problem but looks like the ebay listing changed. Here's the up to date one:

I cant see the part number on the listing, this guy is probably making a killing! If anyone has a part number I'd like to see if there is a cheaper price than $42 dollars... thats not expensive but theres probably cheaper oem parts out there. if not no biggie!

As many have said before, there is no part number for an oem part. Ford doesn't acknowledge the problem and wants you to replace the entire center console. The center console list price is over $600 plus labor to be replaced. When I talked to the seller, he contacted a switch company and actually had them design a switch that is identical to the one that fails in the center console. That is why there isn't a part number.

Plus he walked me though the entire process....so 40 bucks really wasn't that bad for me. Just my 2c.

The listing now is incuding all supplies needed to install the switch and full color instructions. Hope this helps someone out.

Default Found my issue

Nothing else. The rest of the lights weren't on, unless I turned the lthe lights on. Took it to the dealer, left it for the day, and of course they said I needed a new battery, and put one in, saying the battery I put in had a bed cell. I told them they were wrong, but hey what do I know.. Sure enough, I went to pick it up, and the cluster lights were on again. It's been @ the dealer ever since. BTW, its a 2012 Platinum with about 150,000 kms on it.Any feedback would be helpful, because the dealers haven't been.
Hi, I just went through the last year trying to find out the problem. Same thing, dealer said battery issue. Nope. Not driving it enough they said, yeah right.
Anyways, i was parked sitting in vehicle, and after about 15 mins with the vehicle off, my blue dash lights behind speedometer and other gauges lit up. Videoed it, showed it to my dealership. I just got it back today....again, they said they sent the video to Ford technicians, and they figured it was my "park/shifter switch in the steering column. Apparently "they" have seen this before. It tells the computer in the vehicle that the vehicle is not in park, and computer keeping cycling up or some crap. Anyways, they said that should fix it, we will see.

Installed new omron switch from digikey and it worked like a charm. $9 well spent. Thanks to everyone who posted anything to do with this problem. I'm sure it saved me hundreds!

I just wanted to thank all of you who contributed to this thread. It saved me a ton of money, time, and frustration. Very easy fix. I'm sure there are a lot of other people who have benefited from your help over the years also.

mine has the console but I’ve checked the switch and parking light is on, switch is good, but light on dash still on even when I take the keys out, when I take the keys half way out, lights turn off and right back on... I’ve tried everything, any tips on how to fix this ? Could be the ignition ? Please anybody, can’t find anything online
