So we are looking at a low miles 13 / 14 S-CREW SB 4x4 FX4 Appearance Package 402A fully loaded.

Here is the comparison questions, the only difference we can see with the 13 vs the 14 will the same eq is the graphic and the front grill, is there anything else we are missing?





So we wonder if we wanted to take off the graphics off the 13 and get the 14 graphics, can this be done and exchange the front grill for the 14 grill or will this be a royal PITA.





It seems fairly simple in theory, but I figured it would be best to reach out and ask. Will the 13 graphic leave behind a UV line we wonder, stupid stuff but the truck condition seems really nice, so we are thinking about that idea or just live with it, it's not bad either, it's very nice, we just like the 14 style a little more.

You can but it isn't worth it. The difference in the grill and the graphics are not enough to go through all of the work.

 

Is that the only diff from the 13 / 14 nothing else?

 

The front lower strut mount design changed on the '14 vs. the '09-'13.

 

^^^This. If you plan on lifting the vehicle with new front struts then there are more options available for '13 models.

 

FYI, I took the FX4 graphic off 2013 as soon as I got it (October last year). At first you could look real hard and tell it was missing but now, no way.

 

The 14 graphics are a little nicer, but that didn't bother me. Real happy with my 2013. I do want a different grill, but not from Ford. Theirs are all plastic.

 

Yeah they are for sure nice, we just like the 14 a little more, but not a deal breaker by any means if we find the right one.

 

I like the 13 graphics better , not a fan of the two tone with the black graphics on the 14 other then on white trucks. The 14 has a better looking grill. But if i was to change out grills , i would put a raptor grill on. best looking grill on the fx4 truck.

One thing to think about, is being able to add a ford esp. Might only be able to on the 14 ,as the 13 maybe past 3 yrs in service.
