i have a 91 integra i use to drive to work and back, and take for quick trips to 7-11 or other small parking lots. save alot on gas money, super reliable and solid with 205K and no signs of stopping anytime soon. You could pick up something like that for under 1500 bucks to save on gas.

my integra is awesome though, i have had three in 90-93 integras. The steering is so tight on those things, my brand new 2012 F150 has way more slop. Everyone I have ever owned you could drive down the freeway with no hands and stay perfectly straight even with over 200K miles. Things are nice if you can find one that is clean and wasn't ricered out by some hack.

Ya I've thought about doing that, but I see it as a hit or miss kind of thing. I don't like buying used cars, especially older ones from people I don't know. Plus, I would have to pay insurance for another vehicle. That extra insurance expense would probably cancel out the benefits of good gas mileage.

Cool. I was actually thinking about getting a newer one, but I couldn't see trading my truck in for a car. Now I'm starting to think that maybe I should have lol

Although I bought my truck knowing that gas costs would be higher than most other vehicles it didn't bother me much and still isn't to bad. I must admit sometimes it does suck though. Lately when I'm going long distances we have been taking my girl friends civic. You can drive it like a race car and get 30mpg(though it's not as fast as one ).
