I have a 2013 F150 XLT V6 3.7L Flex Fuel, I have code P1289 Cylinder head temperature sensor, but I cannot seem to locate it on the engine, I have looked passenger side between the fire wall and the engine but it's not there like a lot of forums suggest, does anybody know where it is located?

 

That's where the factory service manual says its at for the '13 3.7L. The manual also says you have to remove the lower intake (and everything above it) to access the CHT.

 

I have a 2010 , idk how much it’ll help but I had to remove the following:

1. air intake system
2. throttle body
3. fuel line
4. catalytic converter
5. intake manifold

if you look inside the bay where the intake manifold sits the chat sensor is on the left
