Custom tunes fix 2010 hard downshifts?
I know this has been beaten to death
, but I have a 2010 5.4 that has been in the shop multiple times for the hard downshifting with bad/no results every time (last re-flash was about 4 months ago). My question is; since this seems to be a computer/programming issue, has anybody had good luck fixing this PITA problem by using custom/canned tunes? I just rolled 100,000 miles on my truck and I am afraid that I will be buying a new tranny if I don't get this figured out pretty quick; because even though the dealer says it is not a problem, I can't think it can be a good thing revving and banging into gear pulling a camper, etc.

I would contact Mike at 5 Star tuning.
