Probably 20 pounds. I was very disappointed with Ford when I realized how the stock bumper was put together.

Very nice. With hindsight, what would you do differently in your design, materials... Just curious.

I have a big stack of 8'x10' sheets of 1/4" diamond plate. If I would have been buying it then I would have went to 1/8". I could have bent the sides instead of welding the 2",4", and 2" strips. I would have waited until I had finished welding before I made the mounts. I made them when it was about a quarter welded and they moved a lot and it made for a huge headache. Also while cutting the holes for the sensors, I used only one of them as reference for all the alignment notching and later found out that they are all four different so I had to redo three of them.

I would love to see the look on the persons face when they hit this bumper and try to drive off.

It looks great, and you did a fantastic job!

you can save time by purchasing already made bumpers (but they are not welded together yet) at www.Movebumpers.com, you can get both heavy bumpers for about $500 each. That is if you don’t know how to cut and measure metal like me, but i do weld. That is a great bumper though, all it needs is some reverse LED lights in between the sensors.
