Will probably abandon the Aux - its pretty bad and can't see spending the money on the Istreamer to improve the Aux. Fortuneately the USB is right next to the cig charger so its a simple switch to charge. I never found a usb splitter that worked to charge and play at the same time

that splitter cable sounds so simple but apparently theres something complicated about it.. I need to find someone that can make a custom one! i'll let u know, im working on a couple leads now

Does seem so simple, problem it appears is they were designed for computers to play and charge external hard drives etc, not designed with our purpose in mind.

I'm not sure what you are talking about with usb usage and the screen not be able to do both, my iPad has always been fine doing that. The last I saw that was an old iPod Video, but I haven't tried hooking my iPhone to USB.

I have the dashbox app and its pretty clean. I like it a lot, but for some reason find myself going back to the music app and spotify. I guess its because I really just listen to streaming music now, anyway its worth it for the price.

So is your iPad Jailbroken? Cause Im hearing that is the only way to have the iPad screen function without the "Accessory Connected" screen showing up when connected via USB.

(I am out of the country away form my truck right now so I have not been able to hook my iPad to my truck, just troubleshooting the "what I hear" stuff)

That was one or two iOS versions ago. You can have the iPad hooked up to your USB and still have full control over it now

Any luck with the '13 4.2" screen yet? I'm in once you figure it out! I've been waiting for someone to come up with a solution and am not willing to ugly up my dash with that POS looking metra kit.
