That's where I have my switches. Perfect spot.

Looks good! Too bad Ford doesn't sell switches that look OEM, I'm sure quite a few people would buy them

I really like that idea and using space that is otherwise pretty useless and only collects garbage.

Thanks.

FordEver, how you get the trim piece out to drill holes etc, I like that idea. Would like to use that to add reverse ligths and driving lights.

Very easy.... I wanted to do other wiring, so I pulled my console with the shifter first. Just grab both sides back by the seats. Pull straight up. When that piece is off, you can very easily pull that small plastic insert off.

Be sure all odds and ends are removed from your console before you pull it off.

I used a drill press with a 3/4" forstner bit to drill hole, see below.... does a very clean job..

Here is ebay link for the switches I purchased...

I wanted a bank of switches as well- air horn, reverse lights, LED flasher control, ... I did not want to drill into the dash anywhere, or leave permanent holes, and make whatever removeable for easier sell in the future.

Using 1/4 oak, stained to match the wood grain, and 3M automotive tape, I made this strip and stuck it on to the side of the console. Easy to remove, no permanent holes, and does not get in the way of my knees (I am 6ft tall).

Sean, Very nice and clean install. Where did you run the wiring. Was it under the seat or thru the console.
