The mentioned "Steelie" gizmo looks interesting but ProClip mounts are designed to fit late model F150 and removable w/o "...oh, that's gonna leave a mark". Where I have my Garmin Nuvi located on a ProClip mount isn't optimal for viewing while driving but placement is otherwise practical adjacent to 12v accessory cig plug port while not blocking anything else.

BTW OP, no need for cell phone mount on mine with BT sync. Suppose yours isn't so equipped?

Why is that? Cause of the heat or what?

Just updated. Made a post when I first did it I'll shoot you but used the proclip and the OEM google nexus 5 inductive charger.

Proclip uses two parts. Mount and craddle. I only used the mount and used 3m two sided tape to hold the magnetic induction charger.

The craddle is either phone specific and it drops in or you can get an adjustable cradle.

For the record, this uses 3m backing like their hooks that leave no marks or residue.

I've taken mine off and moved it and also have removed magnets and put them on other cases.

I like it better than a big pro clip set up, this is very unobtrusive and you have infinite adjustment. Easy to go from portrait to landscape and adjust the angle.

To each his own and what works for the persons needs.
