Smaller one is bottom part of threaded collar that fits over snap ring. When turning adjusting ring you put other spanner wrench on the bottom notched collar to keep from turning.

is this a newer deisgn? I thought they usually need a second ring right after the first ring to lock it in from self turning? how is the ring securely locked so its not turning itself?
this is the type of coilovers I usually see in the market, you can see the second ring is there for locking function.

Not necessarily newer, just different The second ring design pictured, is indeed a locking ring, and as you can see has very fine thread pattern. A fine thread is much easier to move, hence a locking ring to keep things staying put. Our single ring system does not move, our thread pattern is courser making it tough to move. The force of the coil spring along with our thread pattern keeps it right where it is set. Just a different design, more aggressive, more geared towards racing.

These look like a pretty decent set up compared to competition.
I'm not quite ready to go ahead and purchase but when I do these have my attention.
Alex, could you try and get some client testimonials and reviews of the product? As of now there are a few but I'd kinda like a broader opinion based review. I have more to work with when it comes to competition but that's no surprise as they've been around much longer.
Thanks and good luck with your product. It looks like a very good option in this category of shocks.

I'm not with either side on this, but cheaper is not always better. I'd be happy to pay more for a superior product that the company stands behind over a competitors, cheaper, inferior product.
I'm not saying Fox is inferior, I've heard good things about them. Just saying price can be deceptive and is not always an accurate portrayal of a particular product.

Was it deleted because there were links to a non-vendor? Or was it deleted because I was showing a superior product to this one that actually costs less.
And Clabro, I'm the first one to admit that cheap is not better. However even Foxes 2.0 line is far superior to the Bilstein 5100s (which are also 2.0, in case you were wondering).
If I had the money though, I'd go with Fox hands down over Bilsteins. How many of these bilsteins have failed at the lower mount when used for anything other than street driving? It's happened to a few of the guys on this forum even. A quick google search will turn up tons of failures across multiple vehicles, all at the lower mount of the Bilstein 5100.
