Default CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve Cleaner

Saw this on Motorhead Garage today. I was wondering if anyone has tried this product on the ecoboost? This is a YouTube video from Two Guys Garage. CRC's web site claims it can remove up to 23% of the carbon build up. Curious if this stuff works. Would love to hear what some of the factory mechanics out there think.
Found this video also, which was interesting.

Old thread here, just wondering if anyone has used the CRC GDI Intake Valve cleaner in their Ecoboost engine?

Sorry about bringing up a old post but I seen no reason to make a new one. I dont know if anyone else has tried it yet....if so please chime in. I had a buddy sample me a can from a parts store and tried it yesterday, I followed the directions and unhooked the tube at the TB, sprayed directly into it. Im not sure if it was in my mind or conditions but after the drive it did seem to idle smoother and seemed to be overall running better. Time will tell to see other improvements but I didnt have all the smoke like others have described while doing it. FWIW I thought Id post my findings.

I give a update the truck does still seem to idle smoother than before trying, havent seem many other gains but a smoother idle shows promise at least.

Can you post a pic of where you sprayed?

My concern would be sending the debris from cleaning out the exhaust and through the vanes of the turbo. with a normal direct injection engine this isn't an issue, but add the turbos and you can damage things.

CRC touts this as Ecoboost friendly and Turbo safe. I contacted them directly to verify. They said it dissolves the carbon so it is simply burned off rather than breaking it up in chunks that could harm the turbo blades.
